Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider...a very loved and followed comic book character that I think most fans were hoping a great movie would be made about him. Unfortunately, this didn't happen in this adaptation of the Ghost Rider character. To be honest with you, I thought it was terrible. Boring, lame, fucking terrible are just a few terms i have used when anyone has asked what I thought of this movie.

I am not a huge Ghost Rider fan. I've never really read any of the comics but I knew the basic premise of its story. The character Johnny Blaze makes a pact with the Devil and does his bidding when called upon. That's to put it in a nut shell. The makers of this movie should have done this to make a better movie. Nicholas Cage had his moments, a few funny lines here and there. For the most part he looked stiff and bored in this role. Nothing exciting or new did bring through his acting that he hasn't done before. Of course, Nicholas Cage has never been, in my opinion, a very exciting or interesting actor. Boring, bland and annoying. The one movie that he did do well in was his Oscar winning role in Leaving Las Vegas. But in this movie he played and fucked up alcoholic who wanted to die. He did well at this as he was able to bring out the desire to end his life in a heart wrenching and sympathetic manner. In this movie he does none of this. Boring , Boring , Boring!!!

The movie in general was one that never sparked any emotion in any way. The story was lame, not even one that I feel the need on expanding on. Just boring. CG was lame, although when he first lit up as the Ghost Rider it looked OK.

Nothing in this movie made we want to enjoy it. Not even Eva Mendes. She did look damn good through out, but her character, Roxanne Simpson wasn't interesting at all. Mendes' acting looked forced. She seemed to be trying to hard, trying to seem innocent yet pining for Johnny all those years. Forced and Boring!!!

Anyway, to make a long story short...didn't like the movie. Will never watch it again of I don't have to and hopefully I don't.
