The Amazing Race 13: Season Premiere - Sept 28 2008 Results

The Amazing Race 13: Season Premiere - Well here we go again. The teams are in the Stadium and ready to go. Phil tells them to get to ready as their bags are waiting for them with the first clue. And the y are off!

All of the teams get off to a good start...the hippies are a little slow, but I am sure they will catch up at some point. They all race off to the LAX so they can catch one of two flights to Brazil!!

The first flight, through American Airlines, arrives in Brazil 3 hours ahead of the United flight and only half the teams make it on. The United flight gets a break as AA flight is delayed by 1 1/2 hrs. (I can already tell I am not going to like Ken and Tina...well Tina to be exact...she is a bitch...no wonder he cheated on her!!.Sorry..no excuse).

The first group of teams gets to Brazil where they receive there clue. They must become vendors and transport good from the market to some vendor guy!! From there they will get another clue, which tells them they will stay in the outdoors over night and then get a chance to move on to their next goal at one of three start times. The first teams will be get the earliest time and be in the lead.

The young couple, Terrace and Sarah, get to the camp first and will be one of 4 teams able to leave first. They will leave at 9:00 am and will move on to Pelourhino where they must find a church where the next clue is waiting for them. Taxis are hard to find.

The next group leaves at 9:30 then followed by the last group leaving at 9:45 am.

Sarah and Terence get to the church but miss the clue box. Finally they find it and its a Detour. Here they have two choices of either climbing a large set of stairs only on their hands and knees. If they fail they must make their way down and start over.

The second choice they can take the soft way down, where instead of climbing they are going down a huge 250 foot cargo net. 3 teams take the soft way down.

Nick and Starr...brother and sister team...are there first...followed by Ken and Tina and Mark and Bill, friends.
Where are Sarah and Terence. There they are...team 4, but they pass Ken and Bill and pull in to 3rd.

From there the teams move on to the Pit Stop and it is Nick and Starr that get there first. Not only do they win this leg of the race they win a trip or 2 to Belize. Ken and Tina come in second, followed by Terence and Sarah and Mark and Bill. Coming in right behind are Kelly and Christie, divorcee friends. Tony and Dallas, mom and son team, are next.

One team, Andrew and Dan, Choose the climbing choice and have a difficult time with it. They screw up once and have to do it over again where they do it correctly. They are off to the Pit Stop.

It is a race to the finish, where Andrew and Dan make it before Aja and Tai. The three teams left are Anthony and Stephanie, who make it in before Marisa and Brooke. The last team to arrive at the Pit Stop are Anita and Arthur, the hippies. They are the first team to be eliminated from The Amazing Race 13.

Good episode and I am very glad that we have started again.
