New Movie Releases - Friday April 4

A good bunch of movies coming out this weekend. Leatherheads looks good and Nim's Island looks like good family fun. Check them out...


Leatherheads - starring George Clooney and Renee Zellweger. An aging football legend and the hot college star he's drafted for his pro team fight for the heart of an intrepid up-and-coming journalist. Oh, it all takes place in 1925.


Nim's Island - starring Jodie Foster, Gerard Butler and Abigail Breslin. A popular author teams up the adventure-loving Alex Rover in order to help her number-one fan, a young girl who lives on a secret island where her father has gone missing. Two problems the author faces: her crippling fear of leaving her house, and the fact that Alex is merely the main character in her best-selling novels.

The Ruins - starring Shawn Ashmore. A Mexican vacation takes a turn for the worse for a group of Americans when they head into the jungle to look for the missing brother of a fellow traveler. A foreboding encounter with a couple locals is only a hint of the evil that awaits them on a patch of secluded hillside.



Shine a Light - directed by Martin Scorcese. A look at the legendary rock band The Rolling Stones through the ages, as they blast through their 2006 "Big Bang Tour".





My Blueberry Nights (Limited) - starring Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Norah Jones. Elizabeth takes a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love while encountering a series of offbeat characters on her route.




Meet Bill (Limited) - starring Aaron Ekhart and Jessica Alba. Bill, a listless, unhappily married human resources executive, is roped into mentoring a rebellious teen. After a hesitant start, the fledgling relationship causes Bill himself to re-examine his existence and to go for what he really wants out of life.
