New Movie Releases - Friday October 19

A whole wack of exciting new films coming out this weekend. It is time for the real Fall movie season to start. Check them out...

Rendition - starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon. A CIA analyst (Gyllenhaal) questions his assignment after witnessing an unorthodox interrogation at a secret detention facility outside the US.

30 Days of Night - starring Josh Hartnett and Melissa George. A pack of vampires descend upon Barrow, Alaska just as the sun is about to set for 30 days. Two cops, a husband and wife team, rise up to protect their town and its citizens.


Reservation Road - starring Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo. As Ethan Learner (Phoenix) falls apart after witnessing his son's death, another man, Dwight Arno (Ruffalo), struggles to accept his accountability in the hit-and-run accident that claimed Josh Lerner's life.

Things We Lost in the Fire - starring Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro. A recent widow (Berry) invites her husband's troubled best friend (Del Toro) to live with her and her two children. As he gradually turns his life around, he helps the family cope and confront their loss.

Gone Baby Gone - starring Casey Affleck, Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman. A pair of detectives track down a missing four-year-old girl in one of Boston's toughest neighborhoods.

The Comebacks - starring DJ Qualls, David Koechner and Robert Richards. A college football coach (Koechner) with the worst record in the history of the sport vows to turn things around with his new team of ragtag recruits.


The Nightmare Before Christman (3D Version) - starring the voice talents of Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara and Danny Elfman. Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween -- but alas, they can't get it quite right.

Wristcutters: A Love Story (Limited) - starring Patrick Fugit. After slitting his wrists, heartbroken Zia (Fugit) is transported to a strange world that is reserved for suicides; finding that his new life is different, but slightly worse than his old existence, he sets off on a road trip to find his ex-girlfriend, another new arrival in this peculiar afterlife.

The Ten Commandments - with the voices of Christian Slater, Elliot Gould and Ben Kingsley. In this animated version of the story of Moses, The Egyptian Prince, Moses (voiced by Christian Slater), learns of his true heritage as a Hebrew and his divine mission as the deliverer of his people. The first film in a 12-picture series billed as "Epic Stories from the Bible".


Some excellent choices for you this weekend. Go see them, I am sure you won't be disappointed!!!
