New Movie Releases - Friday November 2

Well its a short list, but a good list as we look at what movies are hitting the big screen this week. From Denzel to Jerry..looking pretty darn good!!

American Gangster - starring Russel Crowe and Denzel Washington. Power house movie. In 1970s Harlem, Frank Lucas (Washington) constructs a heroin empire by stashing the drug inside the coffins of soldiers returning from Vietnam. Once he is dethroned by Det. Richie Roberts (Crowe), the former kingpin turns informant, the duo sets out to take down law enforcement agents and foreign nationals who are part of his syndicate.

Bee Movie -starring the voices of Jerry Seinfeld and Renee Zellweger. Barry B. Benson (Seinfeld), a bee who has just graduated from college, is disillusioned at his lone career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa (Zellweger), a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers people actually eat honey, and subsequently decides to file a lawsuit against humankind. If you are a fan Seinfeld humor, you should like this movie. I know I will be checking it out.

Martian Child - starring John Cusack and Bobby Coleman. Trying to rebuild his life after his wife's death, a writer (Cusack) adopts a troubled young boy (Coleman) who believes he's a Martian.

Before the Devil Knows You are Dead (Limited) - starring Ethan Hawke and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Two brothers (Hoffman and Hawke), both in dire financial straits, conspire to rip off their parents' jewelry store, only to experience a lethal miscue that puts the entire family on a collision course.
